Jane Lazgin, who with her partner, Richard Lee, joined St. Francis Episcopal Church five years ago, has received the International Water Tasting Lifetime Achievement Award for her accomplishments during her 40-year career with Nestle Waters North America.
A North Stamford resident, Lazgin joined Great Waters of France in New York City shortly after graduating from SUNY New Paltz. Jane was the ninth employee of the company, which was acquired by Switzerland-based Nestle and grew to more than 7,500 employees as the leading bottled water in the U.S. Jane rose through the ranks, eventually being named director of corporate communications and spokesperson, dealing with myriad topics involving the growth of bottled water and its role as an alternative to sweetened drinks.
Departing the company in late 2017, Jane is now deeply involved in church affairs, teaching English as a Second Language, and consulting on nutrition and water resource subjects.
The Award will be given on Saturday, February 24.
