Today was a moving and meaningful day at St. Francis. Bishop Jeff Mello of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut was a guest preacher and presided over the confirmation ceremony for five people who received a blessing. He recognized the sanctity of the tradition, as well as the counterculture in which those confirmed will be expressing their faith. St. Francis hosted family and friends from two visiting parishes, Christ & Holy Trinity Church in Westport and Saint Luke's Darien.
Following Sunday's Service, we had the opportunity to chat informally with Bishop Jeffrey W. Mello during coffee hour and then spend 30 minutes during a Q & A session. We asked and Bishop Jeff shared the priorities and vision of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut and even the global Anglican church. Very interesting!
The sermon was NOT recorded due to a power outage, but pictures from the confirmation and Bishop Mello’s visit can be found by Clicking Here.
